Hello, my name is Ania Zięciowska & I’m a Foodstylist!
My experience in food styling is mainly focused on commercials & still photography.
My love affair with food started many years ago and very soon I developed a passion to capture it on set, with my photographer husband. It was an absolute passion for beautiful food that helped me fulfil my dream.
Writing, creating as well as showcasing every aspect of food and of course styling it, is what keeps me busy day to day.
I always felt that food should look real and achievable, this is my motto and demonstrated throughout my work.
In my recent book “Jak zaczarować stół” (which would translate to “How to enchant the table”), I have been able to explore in depth, my own personal ideas and themes which are central to my ethos: I believe that simple recipes coupled with beautifully plated food, are the key ingredients for every foodie.
Working on commercials has enabled me to discover my other passion, which is rather technical: working with motion control and speed cameras.
It is such a joy to see food in the macro world; liquids and molten chocolate in slow motion are fascinating as well as alluring. Working with ice cream has been a real eye opener, there is so much preparation and due to the nature of the work, it can be quite challenging: I work with real products and mock-ups which are all prepared in my studio.
Often these high-end projects are very complex and require the highest quality of service, which I wouldn’t be able to provide without the help of my amazing assistants and specialists.
Working with a wide range of clients has taught me one important rule: expect the unexpected, you must be prepared for any eventuality. Their expectation as well as my own, is to deliver the highest quality of finished product, meticulous planning and preparation is essential and central to my work.
